March 3 fight at High Point School; 1 injury, 4 arrests

The Real Prince Georges blog has a new report today, with an embedded YouTube video, about a March 3 fight at High Point High School.  The blog posting has a number of comments from High Point students. It is accompanied by a statement from the president of the student government association.

The only mainstream news report of the event that I have been find is a short March 3 report on wusa9.com, "Food Fight Leads To Arrests At High Point" by Meta Pettus that said one student was hospitalized and four people were arrested.

  1. I have never been involved in any incident at that school, yet it's always the good kids who have to be punished. The kids who skip or fight basically get a free pass and a slap on the wrist. I have a big problem with the "one student ruins it for all" circumstance. If hard work pays off, or you are supposed to be rewarded for it, why are the responsible students being punished with the implementations of more restrictions? I feel awfully sorry for all of the future students at High Point, or for any students who attend a Prince Georges County School.
