On the path to greatness ... in extortion?

Ingrid Turner, defendant in a civil extortion case, is apparently about to be elected council chair, with the deciding vote expected to be cast by

Leslie Johnson, recently arrested in a criminal case involving extortion and witness and evidence tampering,  who was sworn in by

Marilynn Bland, another defendant in the civil  extortion case, who is also awaiting trial for assault.

Judging by news reports and the audience at Rushern Baker's December 6 inauguration ceremonies, most of our leaders are either comfortable with this "path to greatness" or unwilling to speak out against it.
