IHOP's Response (was IHOP STILL Contributes to Community Blight)

IHOP's reply to IHOP STILL Contributes to Community Blight

Dear Ms. Russell:

I understand and share your frustration over the delay in re-building this location. Since March of 2007 (once an insurance settlement was reached) our franchise owner has been working diligently with the proper officials to receive the necessary permits to re-build. It is in the best interest of our franchisee, IHOP Corp., and the community for this restaurant to re-open. It was a very successful restaurant and we look forward to serving the community again. Unfortunately, even when all involved have the same end goal, sometimes delays result. We all want the same thing and that is for this restaurant to re-open.

From our franchisee's perspective there is light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully re-building will begin very soon. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.
