There are now about 15 minutes left for the Pr. George's committee to hear, vote for paid sick leave bill. There are lots of speakers here.
.@melrfranklin concerned biz in his district will move out of county because of paid sick leave. Wants to urge state to move a bill.
.@MaryLehman_D1 says Pr. George's cannot wait on state for paid sick leave, because 42% of workers here don't have access.
.@PGCMDeniTaveras argues 4 sick leave as human rights issue/want to create quality jobs. "67% of latinos" dont have it in her district.
Business groups (rest; apts; chamber of cmmerce) testify they prefer to see the state to deal with paid sick leave not the county.

We are on the see scene of a homicide investigation in the 4800 block of Taniger Place.
At approximately 2:15am, officers responded for a shooting. One adult male shot. He was pronounced dead on scene.
This does not appear to be a random incident.
Detectives are trying to establish motive and suspect(s) info. This incident remains under investigation.
