State Comptroller Franchot (D) criticizes O'malley's call for special session

State Comptroller Peter Franchot has already made perfectly clear how he feels about Gov. Martin O'Malley's plan to legalize slot machine gambling.

Today he let loose with a broad criticism of O'Malley's plan for a special General Assembly session next week, questionning the timing and the necessity of the tax-raising discussion in a three-page letter to the Senate president and House speaker.
