Prince George's Hospital has been in the news again with numerous stories about how it needs a bailout, may have to close down, what our politicians plan to do, etc.
We went through all of this last year. The stories appearing in the press now appear to be nothing more than slightly edited versions of what ran in the same newspapers a year ago. Links.
Last year our elected officials promised a permanent fix when they dumped more money down this rat hole "temporarily." As soon as the immediate pressure to "save the hospital" was off, they promptly lost interest. Now the politicians are back, seeking to give even more of our money to the failed management the politicians promised to replace.
Why? How many more "temporary" bailouts will there be? Will they ever come up with a real way to fix the problem?
