Prince Georgians Urge Vote on School Board Bills
Senators Told To Legislate, Not Procrastinate

(Upper Marlboro) Citizens for an Elected Board (CEB) will urge Prince George's County legislators to act on SB 1094, sponsored by Senators Gloria Lawlah and Nathaniel Exum, and HB 1360, passed overwhelmingly by the House of Delegates in February. Both bills are designed to restore a school board with members each elected from one of nine districts.

Spokespersons from CEB-member organizations will press Senators to vote on the pending bills and outline grassroots lobbying efforts during the last seven days of the 2006 Maryland General Assembly.
