Sen. Green Plans to Retire

      State Sen. Leo Green (D-Dist. 23) of Bowie has announced he will not seek reelection in the fall . . .

      Speculation has already surfaced that Douglas J.J. Peters (D-Dist. 4) of Bowie will now seek Green’s seat in the Senate. If Peters runs, at least two seats would open up on the Prince George’s County Council, since Thomas Hendershot (D) will be leaving his District 3 seat as well. . . .
