Found shot in the 6900 block of Hawthorne Street (20785), about 10:00 pm, October 12, 2005.
"On October 12, 2005, investigators obtained an arrest warrant charging 26-year-old Rashard Hubbard with First Degree Murder in connection with the murder of 31-year-old Lamont Avent, who was shot and killed in the 2600 block of Kent Village Drive. Hubbard, who had been arrested, was in the hospital being treated for injuries he sustained during the shooting." [Police press release]
