      Notice: Some pages going offline

The PG-Politics and Gory Prince Georges blogs were originally located at the domain esmartweb.com before (October 2005) . After moving the blogs to blogspot.com, I continued to used esmartweb.com for a number of supplemental web pages, especially for information related to candidates in the 2006 and 2010 elections and for tables and summaries related to pre-2008 homicides.

The owners of esmartweb.com are ending their free hosting service at the end of the month. Before that happens, I will backup and take offline all the files from the following three sites.
I may eventually repost somewhere else any pages that seem to  have continuing value, but not immediately.  In the meantime, if you seek a particular page from one of the above site, send the link in an email to dcrussell@gmail.com and I'll try to either email the page back to you or repost it somewhere.

      2011 special election candidate information

I have now created a page for information about candidates who have filed to run in the special election for county council, district 6:
      http://pg-politics.blogspot.com/p/2011-candidates.html

The page includes filing information and links to information about the candidates or their events as sent to me or to the PG-Politics mailing list by the candidates or their campaigns. It will also contain links to information compiled for PG-Politics daily news briefs, but that service will be suspended from about August 26 to about September 15.  Unlike my efforts for the 2006 and 2010 elections, I will not be including information about candidates who have not yet filed and will not be making an extensive search for information not sent to me or to PG-Politics.

Candidates who filed before 15 Aug 2011:
